Phil, you are my favorite person ever because you tell it like it is. You’re not a nutjob conservative who thinks that all muslims should be locked up in Gitmo, and you’re not a nutjob liberal who thinks we should free them all because they were right to retaliate against American greed or whatever. You use reason…scary.
I think that the members from Guantanamo Bay who are dangerous in any way shape or form should not be allowed to walk around in the US. I think the hostess should have her job at least they didn’t just fire her ass. Macs are a good piece of kit when it comes to digital art and video editing but not great for programming IMO.
And that girl that left those pictures in the RECYCLE BIN is she mental I cannot believe how bad people are with computers. Even if she clicked empty they will still be found lol.
As Bizzy said, the members from Guantanamo Bay who are dangerous should not be allowed to be in the US. I hope they’ll get to that decision in my homecountry Germany (yup, I am German, so what about it?^^)
I heard that Fritzl-Scumbag said that he regret what he did to his daughter. That’s worse than mockery. They should castrate him before he goes to prison. He’s no human anymore not with the things he did to his daughter (rape, imprison her etc.)
About Mac: Nothing is unhackable. It’s just a question of time. But the guy hacked the Mac in 10 seconds… holy shit, how many time does he need for a Windows PC then? 3 Seconds?!
The hostess shouldn’t be fired because of her “freetime-job”. Just as Phil says “It is my belief that whatever a person does in there spare time, is there own business, as long as it is not detrimental to anyone else”.
Oh Phil, you’re on a roll with the dates. We’re all so proud!!
As far as Guantanamo Bay goes, I think it should have stayed open – now we’re going to have all sorts of disgusting excuses for human beings walking our streets. Here’s to hoping not too many are shipped to Australia!
doubt if most would be so free and easy with the term “necessary evil” if they were one of the “extraordinary renditions”, taken, not charged, tortured with no recourse or rights. interesting that the same people that say government is incompetent somehow believe that the sentiment doesn’t apply here ? … wern’t the same “intelligence” agencies that decide these matters the same that decided that there were wmd’s in iraq ?
try em … if they’re guilty fry em. havn’t seen any actual evidence that any info gained from any detainee has actually stopped any actual terrorist plot. if you have some actual evidence, please post it … and i don’t mean the complete bullshit that the bush admin was floundering on about for the last 5yrs.
destroying the foundation, laws and reputation of your country out of fear is pathetic. kill those who kill yours but don’t run around like a bunch of scared little pussies giving up you rights because some extremist might want to blow something somewhere up.
Phil, just fyi… According to Austrian law, Fritzl CAN be pardoned after 15 years, which means he could actually be imprisoned 4 years less than his daughter… Awsome, huh? :S
the weed debate: essentially it comes down to which one would you prefer: Cartels or Weed in everyday society. Legalising it opens a whole bunch of issues and whilst I do agree that drug cartel are making a lotta money and doing nasty things wit the said money, lets picture a world where weed is legalised:
Adverts on TV, a huge spike in popularity of the drug, underagers smoking it etc etc.
We are having enough problems with cigarettes and alcohol, those two killing more people than wars, without another legalised substance that should be banned. Rather than legalise it I say outlaw it more. zero tolerance to anyone smoking or dealing the shit. That way the cartels don’t get their money and we are speared another killer that is free to roam the streets
Never mind the unconstitutionality of that, how has the so-called “war on drugs” worked so far? That was a rhetorical question. The war on drugs has been as successful as the war on poverty. We still have both. It is not up to the federal government to regulate/outlaw anything from weed to poverty; that task is left to the states. The government is often believed to be filled with people who know what they are doing and we trust them to always do the right thing, but the fact is that government is often the problem rather than the solution and I do not want to give it anymore to “do” than we already have. Zero tolerance is not the answer.
Phil, I think you should do some “coverage” on the college humor’s march madness hottest girl competition. I know that this is more demeaning to women than even stripping, i think, but it is interesting. They are about a fourth of the way through the first round and I think there have been some significant upsets, or at least some confusing winners. It’s interesting to know what the populas qualify’s as “hot”. Just wanted to know what your take was and maybe your predictions for the final four. http://www.collegehumor.com/hottestgirl/2009/bracket/west
You use the same arguments for the prohibition of alcholol. Guess what legalizing has not destroyed society, neither will weed. Initially you will see a spick in usage but that will drop as the novelty wears off and rent becomes due.
Weed is not physically addicting like alcohol, you cannot OD on it like alcohol and does not lead to violent behavior like alcohol. I see no downsides.
Technically the police found video (not pictures) of the woman performing beastiality and the dog did not have sex with her, it performed cunnilingus on her (licking some unknown substance from her most sacred part). Just fact checking for you Philly buddy.
I live in Juarez…were most of the drug violence has taken place, there is little to no municipal police anymore they, the ppl patrolling are federal police and military doing random checks but right now their main concern (more than drugs) is the guns and weapons being smuggled in from to US so that the cartels can get their hands on these and continue the war. Drugs are what are the violence is about but its control of the territory so they can get their drugs across the border area sine if any one cartel has control of the territory they can make billion since their number one consumer is the US. So if the drugs are legal in the US you could see the end of this war in Mexico. The same thing happened many years ago during the age of prohibition when alcohol was illegal in the united states, there for the same territory was at war getting illegal alcohol to the US via Mexico border
Not sure you grasp weed culture and the way most people use it. The terms “danger” and “weed” are just about polar opposites. Let’s see…
underage use – already prevalent, maybe even more so as it is sought after for it’s “counter culter” status.
huge spike in popularity of drug – to what end? More people buying white castle. C’mon what are you really afraid of here? If someone doesn’t currently use weed, just because it’s legal doesn’t mean they’ll start.
adverts on tv – ??? Not sure why this scares you but I’m sure this could easily be regulated through FCC legislation if it was deemed a major threat. I see ads for Welbutrin all the time but I’m not banging on my physician’s door for some.
Or maybe your right, let’s spend a bunch more money that we don’t have throwing people in jail (zero tolerance) for smoking a substance who’s effects are sleepiness and hunger. Then we can pay to have them sit in jail. Don’t forget that these people will now be felons and unsuitable for many professional lines of work. Please also disregard any potential use for people with genuine medical issues where the side effects of weed are a true benefit.
Your a friggin’ genius Paraggio. Why don’t you solve the rest of our nation’s problems…?
Phil I just watch this and I was really disappointed in your take on Gitmo. Honestly, I thought you were smarter than that. Did you really trust the morons in the Bush administration to lock up the right people? It’s fitting that the same day you were arguing that Gitmo was a necessary evil a former Bush official acknowledged that only about 2 dozen terrorists were actually at Gitmo, and most of the men there were completely innocent.
In fact most have already been released. As for it preventing attacks, any reputable counter terrorism expert will tell you that Gitmo made us less safe because it fed radicalism in the Muslim world.

I think any detainees released should go to San Francisco, Berkley, Boulder CO, Santa Fe NM, Alexandria VA and other ultra-liberal communities.
